Retaliation for the sake of obstruction

Trump Backs Off Census Citizenship Question Fight

“In a Rose Garden ceremony, Trump said he would drop efforts to include a citizenship question on the 2020 census. Instead, his executive order will direct all U.S. agencies to provide the Department of Commerce all information they have on U.S. citizenship, noncitizenship and immigration status.

“We have great knowledge in many of our agencies,” Trump said, flanked by Attorney General William Barr and Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross. “We will leave no stone unturned.”

Sounds like concession here but it is one with a vile twist.  He is going to get those people he hates no matter what he has to do even if it means undermining government that works only if checks and balances are in place.  The courts reject his census question ploy, as they have the power to do and his is an in your face reaction.  You fuck with me, I will make things a whole lot worse for those you guys are trying to protect.  In proposing his solution to the court decision, he reveals, of course, his real intention, to collect information that could be used to make the lives of many miserable, this in order to keep his promise to the disposables who form his base.  He will use government documents and records to seek them out and catch them so that they can be punished for what they have done, to him a punishable offense.

Trump has consistently fought the courts when they have not given him his way and he has fought the congress when it asks of his administration that it provide documents and records necessary for them conducting their constitutional duties.  He does not give a shit about checks and balances and, therefore, he does not respect enough the Constitution and the form of government it mandates to abide by the rules that should make good sense to any sensible person with knowledge of how and why the American government is meant to function.

He deserves impeachment.  Those with the power to impeach need to use it.  If they do not, they are failing in their constitutional duty.  Any member of the American government who refuses to allow others in government to carry out their prescribed duties is engaged in obstruction.  Defying the courts is clearly an act of obstruction of justice.

Ms. Pelosi, do your duty, no matter what pain it may bring immediately so that the government can begin to work as it should, as mandated by the highest laws of the land.
